Gorgeously crafted, super-useful and stylish item; terrible post-purchase follow-up with my order that was delayed by four weeks.

Received no postage update for four weeks, during which time I emailed and - after no emailed response from Hunt for over a week and a half - phoned Hunt to find out what had happened.

One of the senior staff at Hunt tells me that there were no items in stock at my time of purchase.

I explained I’d have appreciated knowing that, before purchasing, that the items were not available / were on such long back order; or appreciated an email the day after my purchase to let me know the items were not in stock, instead of this lengthy wait and uncertain silence.

The staff member I spoke with said there was a glitch in their email system, and he would get the person managing their email correspondence to email me back.

I hear nothing for a while, then an email was sent to me asking if I wanted the purchase cancelled and refunded, or posted out in four days time by express post because the artisan making the items would be due to deliver the items to Hunt in four days time.

I responded immediately that I had needed the items in a hurry for gifts, and had allowed postage time for that, so asked for the second option for Hunt to send them out in a few days time with express post.

I emailed Hunt again after a further ten days of email silence and no postage update - again, no response.

So I called Hunt again and was told that the items had just arrived that afternoon instore. I asked for an email update for when the items would be sent out. I only received an Australia Post update when the item was finally posted - 4 weeks late.

I suggest emailing the company before you buy anything, in case it’s not even in stock and you’re faced with a stressful and one month wait for any action to be taken by Hunt/your emailed enquiries to be attended to/action to be taken with any phone calls you make.

My order was to be posted from eastern states to Western Australia. The Tan is a lovely supple shade, the small size perfect for a small and heavy water bottle, and works well as a coaster on delicate surfaces when not being carried.
